Currently, the 3PL team primarily handles hot tubs, wood stoves and trampolines. The types of products involved vary from period to period. For delivery, we use our own vehicles or other well-known carriers.
During her time at NTEX, Tina Johannessen has worked operationally, being hands-on in the warehouse. She has also taken on more responsibilities for planning, and customer dialogue. This experience has allowed her to reflect on the requirements for success in this line of work.
&#8220;It is crucial that we share knowledge among ourselves. Nobody knows everything, but as a group, we have plenty of knowledge. If we take the time to spread and share this knowledge, there is a much greater chance of success,&#8221; says Tina. She continues:
&#8220;During more intensive periods, it can be challenging to keep up with knowledge sharing, but we make up for it later. We have a very helpful and polite environment here.&#8221;
Tina Johannessen&#8217;s relative newness to NTEX does not mean she is new to the industry. Her previous work experiences have provided her with a solid foundation for comparing and drawing conclusions about NTEX. According to Tina Johannessen, the team&#8217;s ability to constantly engage in dialogue with customers, providing them with necessary information and managing their expectations, is the greatest strength of those working with 3PL at NTEX.

&#8220;Scott is a competent, and determined professional who has made very good contributions to NTEX in his various positions over the years. I am convinced that he is the right person for this job&#8221;, says Tobias Rindevall, Global Sales Manager at NTEX.
Scott Chancellor on his side really looks forward to this new challenge: 
&#8220;It feels very stimulating to leave my comfort zone and take on a completely new challenge. I will do my very best to have a positive impact on the business&#8221;, says Scott and continues:
&#8220;We have many fantastic people within NTEX, not least in the sales organization. I have a strong belief that together we will be able to develop the commercial part of NTEX in the UK in a good way.&#8221;

After a thorough review of the environment and quality routines at our office in Vestby, NTEX in Norway received its own certificates. NTEX AS’s sales and administration coordinator, Helen D. Jacobsen, has, together with the NTEX Group Quality Manager, Peter Åberg, managed all necessary processes towards the certification goal.
– In NTEX AS, this went very smoothly. We already had most things in order, so the job for us was about systematizing the documentation and thus ensuring that we all understand, work, and deliver around our environmental and quality work. It is useful and educational for us as an organization, and of course reassuring for all our customers and partners when we have chosen ISO certification as the standard for what type of business we are and want to be, Helen says.

In his new role, the new General Manager of NTEX AS will place great emphasis on ensuring that the entire team has a commercial focus.
&#8220;After my first week on the job, I can already say that I am starting in a well-functioning company with dedicated employees. I am committed to follow up on much of what is already being done. It&#8217;s about putting together details so that we become even more efficient in our processes and structures&#8221;, says Kåre Thuesen.
As the General Manager, one of Kåre&#8217;s main tasks will be to lead the 65 employees working at NTEX AS, and this requires structure and engagement. In this way, the employees get the best conditions for doing a good job, he reasons. The match between international NTEX and Kåre Thuesen can be described as almost optimal. Kåre has dedicated almost his entire professional life to working with forwarding. He also has a solid international career behind him:
&#8220;I have worked a total of 13 years in Asia, in countries such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the Philippines and Indonesia. My international experience has provided many insightful perspectives that I bring with me into the role as General Manager of the Norwegian part of NTEX, which is largely an international company&#8221;, says Kåre Thuesen.
Thomas Ström, CEO and founder of NTEX, is convinced that he has found the right person in the appointment of a new General Manager for NTEX in Norway.
&#8220;Kåre&#8217;s background in the industry is trustworthy. We have also come to know him as a very reliable, knowledgeable and friendly person, which is exactly what we want to be associated with at NTEX&#8221;, says Thomas Ström.

Skanska Norway is one of the country’s largest and leading contractors, with large and complex projects within the business areas Building, Construction and Real Estate Development. Skanska also has a business area defined as Specialists, with companies such as UCO and Husfabrikken.
As an advocate for equal competition conditions and seriousness in the construction industry, Skanska is committed to ensuring that the transport of materials and equipment for the projects is carried out in a sustainable and safe manner in accordance with the EU’s mobility package and HSE requirements.
Skanska handles extensive international transport for new water supply tunnel in Oslo project
Particularly relevant for Skanska in connection with transport from abroad now is the ongoing project for the City of Oslo with a new reserve water supply from Holsfjorden to Huseby. A 19 km tunnel will be operated here using two fully electric tunnel boring machines (TBMs). TBMs each have a diameter of 5.2 meters and are approximately 310 meters long.
The collaboration with NTEX is proving to be a valuable resource for Skanska
– Without fixed agreements, transport situations in our industry are relatively unclear.
– Our industry buys goods with essentially “freely delivered” terms. In cases where transport is not included in the price of the goods, we ask the supplier to arrange for the purchase of transport on our behalf, which can be costly and entail risk for us as the buyer. 
We have experienced challenges with suppliers who do not have transport as their core business, which makes it difficult to achieve good conditions and ensure that the transport is carried out satisfactorily. There may also be challenges related to VAT and customs, where the wrong load can create additional work and challenges for us, Leif-Martin says.
After starting our cooperation with NTEX in 2022, we have incorporated standardized and good operational routines for our transport assignments. This has been particularly important in situations where there has been a need for rapid adaptation and collection abroad. Through a transport broker agreement with NTEX, we have gained access to expertise and resources in transport and logistics that have made our transport situation easier and more efficient.
And the choice fell on NTEX because?
NTEX was chosen as the logistics provider for Skanska because of the ability to deliver on the safety, ethics and seriousness requirements that are important to us. NTEX also had well documented responses to this in the tender process, which was an important factor in the choice of bidder. In addition, it was important for Skanska to find a supplier who could help get the goods to Norway with the least possible resistance. Through good booking routines, we believe we have found a good solution where all the practicalities are taken care of by NTEX, in addition, we experience that we ensure the focus we have on both quality and costs for our transport assignments.
A direct and open line of communication with operative personnel
An important prerequisite for Skanska in choosing a transport supplier was the possibility of direct communication with NTEX personnel who are “hands on” on the assignment. When we ask Leif-Martin how he feels we solve challenges that arise along the way, the answer is that this direct communication, together with flexibility, is an important reason why Skanska has so far not experienced the major challenges in the collaboration. With NTEX as a partner, Skanska has found a supplier that takes care needs in a good way.
