Each day highlights a key topic within NTEX’s sustainability framework: 
Sustainability Monday, Environmental Tuesday, Contribution Wednesday, Health &amp; Safety Thursday, and People Friday.

Throughout the week, employees are invited to join daily Teams sessions with short introductions and reflections related to the themes. For those who are unable to attend live, recordings will be made available so that everyone has the opportunity to participate.
A highlight of the week is Contribution Wednesday, when NTEX employees share examples of how we already contribute to a more sustainable business – from innovative transport solutions to everyday improvements that make a difference. The goal is to inspire one another across offices and countries, and to learn from good practices already in place.
Across the Group, this includes initiatives such as the transition to electric, gas and HVO powered trucks, efforts to reduce emissions and move towards fossil-free transport, as well as local measures that support people and workplace wellbeing. Examples include safe accommodation for drivers on the road, training facilities that promote health and community among staff, comprehensive waste management, and creative ways to reduce food waste and encourage mindful use of resources.

NTEX Finland Oy is in the rapidly growing business area of Aviapolis in Vantaa, a strategic location close to Helsinki-Vantaa Airport and Vuosaari Harbor – the main logistics hubs in Finland. With a strong infrastructure and proximity to customers, this provides NTEX with optimal growth opportunities in the Finnish market, while also enhancing our ability to offer efficient transport solutions for Nordic and European customers with connections to and from Finland.
Even before establishing our presence, NTEX had significant transport flows to and from Finland. It has been strategically important for NTEX to establish a presence in Finland to be closer to our customers. Now that we have a local presence, we can further develop our services and offer even more tailored solutions to existing and new Finnish customers.

Experienced team with extensive industry background
Managing Director of NTEX Finland, Kimmo Salmi, has over 30 years of experience in the logistics industry and a solid background in international transport. Together with Markku Hirvonen, who has over 20 years of experience in forwarding and traffic management, they form the foundation of our Finnish team. They have previously worked closely with NTEX through Scanroad Finland, ensuring a seamless transition to our new organization.
Kimmo Salmi sees great opportunities for NTEX in Finland:
&#8220;By establishing a local presence, we can better respond to market needs and offer flexible and efficient transport solutions to Finnish customers. We are already well established in the market, and with a dedicated and competent team, we look forward to developing NTEX Finland further.&#8221;
 
Building a strong team and long-term vision
The long-term goal is to build a strong team in Finland and strengthen cooperation with NTEX offices in other countries. The aim is to make NTEX Finland a preferred logistics partner with high customer satisfaction and strong industry relationships.

Andreas&#8217; passion for the transport industry is nothing new. With transport deeply rooted in his family tradition, his journey in the industry began long before the establishment of NTEX AS in Norway in 2011. As a youth, Andreas was involved in the family&#8217;s transport business at the time, with useful experience from an early age. This background has formed the basis for his commitment to transport and freight forwarding and later his success as a leader.
After finishing high school, it was surely not surprising that Andreas chose to follow in his family&#8217;s footsteps. He started his career in the transport industry and gained valuable knowledge before becoming involved in the establishment of NTEX AS. Thomas Strøm, owner of NTEX AB in Sweden, was looking for someone to consider expanding NTEX into Norway. Young Nikolic seized the opportunity and helped establish what is today NTEX AS, part of the NTEX Group.
From 2012, Nikolic led NTEX AS as general manager, and during this time he helped build the business stone by stone from simple traffic between Sweden and Norway to today being able to offer a global and comprehensive transport service, including solid 3PL services. Under his leadership, NTEX has grown and developed into a significant player in the industry, with a presence throughout Europe and beyond. His dedication to the company&#8217;s success and to customer satisfaction has been a driving force behind this impressive growth.
As a young leader in an industry characterized by experience, he was probably met with a mixture of scepticism and curiosity in the early days. He recognizes that he had to prove himself, not only to others, but also to himself. A lot of energy and many working hours have gone into work, but with a unique ability to quickly understand and solve complex problems, Nikolic has worked purposefully to establish himself as a respected industry player and leader.
Today, as COO of a company with offices in several countries, Andreas and the NTEX Group lead with a strong focus on customer understanding. There are always challenges navigating through different laws, cultures and expectations, but for him, there is one thing that is constant and applicable regardless of location: customer focus. Regardless of where in the world a customer is, they should be met with the same attention, expertise and service. Andreas insists that the customer experience should be consistent and of high quality across all NTEX departments and countries.
An important part of Andreas&#8217; vision is therefore also the freight forwarder&#8217;s role as an all-rounder. He emphasizes the importance of NTEX freight forwarders having broad expertise that enables them to understand and meet customer needs effectively. This is especially important at a time of rapid growth and need for expertise, where it can be tempting to specialize too much. But for Andreas, it is crucial to never forget the essence of the business: the customer in focus. As he so accurately puts it: &#8220;We don&#8217;t have the customer beyond the next booking.&#8221; Focusing on what the customer needs versus what we can offer the customer is thus important for the philosophy Nikolic has for NTEX.
In a time characterized by global crises and economic uncertainty, Andreas, NTEX and the industry itself face several challenges. From sanctions to abrupt shifts in the market, he and the NTEX team need to be more flexible and adaptable than ever. And in the midst of all this, he also sees how it can provide opportunities. Being flexible and adaptable means that we must always evolve to be able to capture what customers need and expect, such as customers&#8217; and society&#8217;s increasing needs and demands around the environment and sustainability. This means developing with the skills and tools required. NTEX needs to be sufficiently forward-leaning with technological innovations and have a focus on sustainable solutions to continue to be a reliable partner for its customers and at the same time contribute to a more sustainable future.
So, it is no wonder that with the challenges of today&#8217;s rapid technological development Andreas and the rest of the NTEX team are keen to monitor these latest developments and to see what could help to enhance the overall customer experience. We are in the process of implementing a completely new platform, with no less than five new systems to be incorporated. This transition is crucial to ensure more efficient operations. However, Andreas emphasizes that new technology and automation must be used wisely to provide real value to customers. Although new technology, such as AI, is becoming increasingly available, it is important to ensure that it helps to strengthen and work towards the personal customer care and customer understanding that we at NTEX are dedicated to. The focus must always be on increasing the quality of services and adapting to new customer expectations in the best possible way. At a time when automation and digitalization can seem distant from personal contact, Andreas is aware of this and is encouraged that NTEX should continue to be known for its proximity to customers and for its ability to listen to their needs.
When I ask him where he sees NTEX in five years, the answer is clear: growing. With an ambition to be the preferred option for transport and logistics services, Andreas and his team are determined to continue to expand and meet customer needs.
At the core of all this lies Andreas&#8217; clear message: the customer&#8217;s needs must always come first. In a world where businesses can become preoccupied with providing ever more standardized services, he insists that customer presence and personalization are key to success. For NTEX, the customer is not just a transaction, but a long-term partner who deserves the best possible service.
With Andreas Nikolic as COO, NTEX Group is well equipped for the future – a future characterized by growth, sustainability, and an unwavering commitment to customer relationship.

Karolina Skeppner, Manager Sustainability, Quality & Environment NTEX AB

Right from the start, the days have been filled with several major tasks, from conducting a thorough sustainability report for 2023 to overseeing ISO audits. Despite the initial whirlwind, Karolina&#8217;s enthusiasm remains unchanged as she continues to familiarize herself with NTEX operations.
Karolina&#8217;s role in Ntex is crucial in shaping strategies and commitments in these areas. The demands both on ourselves, from society and from our customers are becoming increasingly specific and demanding, so a comprehensive and measurable management is essential to achieve our goals and be a professional partner.  To achieve this, Karolina stresses the importance of collaboration across the organization, and the rewards of leveraging the combined knowledge and expertise of the rest of the NTEX team to steer towards higher stakeholder value creation.
And in relation to this, Karolina is optimistic and highlights her impression of NTEX so far: A culture of curiosity, competence and commitment that permeates the organization. She has noted the genuine interest among colleagues in promoting NTEX sustainability work and emphasizes a positive and supportive work environment. The employees are the most valuable resource, she emphasizes. By using our collective expertise and passion, we create alignment across different subsidiaries and markets, leveraging the benefits of a multinational presence.
Karolina&#8217;s professional background spans sixteen years in supply chain management, with a diverse experience that includes supplier development, purchasing strategies and internal auditing for ISO and IATF standards. The transition to a dedicated focus on sustainability and quality reflects her personal interest in contributing to positive organizational development and process improvements. This is really rewarding work in several areas, says Karolina enthusiastically.
There is no getting away from the fact that there are both opportunities, but also challenges in the logistics and transport sector in general. Karolina is committed to the need for coordinated action at all levels of the value chain – from suppliers to customers to supporting political frameworks and infrastructure. The road to a sustainable industry requires that the pieces fall into place in several areas, but we can all take responsibility and do our part on the way there.
NTEX, with Karolina spearheading efforts, aims to work diligently towards becoming a focused contributor in sustainable transport and logistics solutions, grounded in robust strategies and transparent reporting. One step along the way for our new manager is to lead initiatives to strengthen sustainability knowledge within own organization, communicate goals effectively and implement data-driven measures that are in line with EU regulations and international sustainability goals.
In other words, our new manager for quality, environment and sustainability has more than enough tasks to tackle. And when asked what she perceives as her greatest achievement to date, Karolina reflects on her commitment to sustainability as an important contribution but says gently that &#8220;I live to know that I haven&#8217;t done my best performance yet.&#8221;

&#8220;I’m very happy that we&#8217;ve been able to face a challenging time by taking action,&#8221; says Marcus Wållerstedt, Logistics Manager in Gothenburg at NTEX Inrikes.
At NTEX, there hasn&#8217;t been any reason to slow down. It all began in February when the company moved into its new warehouse in Jordbro, Stockholm. Following that, similar steps were taken in both Helsingborg and Gothenburg.
&#8220;These investments have allowed us to take on more and slightly different types of assignments than before, putting us in a strong position for the future,&#8221; says Marcus Wållerstedt.
The new facilities and the increasing number of assignments have also led NTEX Inrikes to expand its workforce, a significant strength signal according to the Logistics Manager in Gothenburg. The overall assessment is that NTEX Inrikes now has significantly greater capacity in everything from 3PL to picking and packing, Crossdock, and traditional warehousing compared to a few years ago.
Manage, Enhance, and Deliver 
Looking ahead, the focus for NTEX will be to establish routines to fully capitalize on the high-quality conditions that have been put in place. Marcus Wållerstedt emphasizes that it&#8217;s now about filling the warehouses and ensuring a good return on the investments made.
&#8220;We will continue to deliver a reliable product while staying close to our customers.&#8221;
He emphasizes the latter a bit more, discussing the personal touch as a key success factor for the entire NTEX organization.
&#8220;It&#8217;s our DNA all the way through. As we&#8217;ve grown, we&#8217;ve worked hard to ensure that this mindset is preserved. It&#8217;s crucial to us.&#8221;
Great opportunities for advancement 
Another characteristic of NTEX is the ample opportunities for employees with drive and dedication. Marcus Wållerstedt is an excellent example. He took his first steps in the industry back in 2009, starting as a delivery driver. Since then, he has worked in warehouses, driven trucks, been a traffic controller, and worked as a traffic manager. When he joined NTEX in 2019, he took on a role as a salesperson. A few years later, Marcus was offered the position of site manager for NTEX Inrikes – a role he held until a few months ago when he became the Logistics Manager in Gothenburg.
&#8220;You don&#8217;t necessarily need a flashy education to get a chance. In my case, it&#8217;s been about drive and dedicated work. I&#8217;m grateful for the opportunity to take new steps and continue to grow within the company,&#8221; concludes Marcus Wållerstedt.
